Summer Vacation Extension in Kashmir Schools: Check Key Update
Srinagar, July 10: The Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) announced on Wednesday that any decision regarding an extension of the summer vacation will be made based on the latest weather advisory.
Speaking to reporters at an event, the director mentioned that they are closely monitoring both the ground and weather conditions, maintaining communication with the Meteorological Department. “Our decision will align with the weather advisory,” he stated.
The director highlighted that under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, the department is offering free education. “No fees are being collected from students or their parents,” he assured.
When queried about the admission process, the director explained that admissions are conducted on a merit basis within the respective catchment areas.
Regarding other fees, the director noted that a recent meeting addressed these issues, with the Fee Fixation and Regulation Committee (FFRC) currently examining numerous complaints.
